THIS. . . is a 1989 BMW 325i Convertible, finished in black with a black soft top and a beige interior. It also shows that this 325i has been California-owned since at least 1992, and the February 1989 purchase order pictured in the gallery notes that this car was sold new in California. Factory equipment includes 14-inch wheels, fog lights, a manual soft top, leather upholstery, heated front sport seats, air conditioning, a 6-speaker sound system, and cruise control. The only modification reported by the seller is black paint on the trim around the windshield. BMW introduced the E30-generation 3 Series in the United States late in the 1983 model year. It was initially offered only with two doors, but the range grew with the addition of a four-door model in 1985 and a convertible in 1987. Buyers could choose from a variety of 4- and 6-cylinder engines plus rear- and all-wheel-drive. BMW made several updates to the E30 and production ended after the 1991 model year. Power comes from a 2. 5-liter straight-6, rated at 168 horsepower and 164 lb-ft of torque. Called "M20" internally, it spins the rear wheels via a 4-speed automatic transmission.
