This Land Cruiser's factory-fitted 4. 5-liter straight-6 engine has been replaced by a 6. 6-liter "Duramax" turbodiesel V8 reportedly sourced from a General Motors-built heavy-duty pickup. The list of modifications reported by the seller also includes a General Motors-sourced 4-speed automatic transmission, 17-inch AGP wheels, an Old Man Emu 2. 5-inch suspension lift kit, and a Digital Dakota instrument cluster. Some of the removed factory parts are included in the sale. Released for 1991, the 80-Series is the first Land Cruiser to firmly plant its flag in the luxury segment. It was bigger than its predecessor, it gained a more aerodynamic design, and it offered better materials inside. It nonetheless kept what adventurers loved about the Land Cruiser: solid axles, a 2-speed transfer case, and a generous amount of ground clearance. Power comes from a 6. 6-liter turbodiesel V8, rated at 365 horsepower and 660 lb-ft of torque. It spins the four wheels via a 4-speed automatic transmission and a 2-speed transfer case.
